A New Post...Finally!!

We have been getting lots of complaints about the lack of updated pictures as well as requests for a new post. Well, I'm finally getting around to it. Unfortunately, Laura and I have both been sick so not much has been happening around our house. She is much better but I am still in the middle of all the coughing, sneezing, and nose blowing!! Laura seems to really like her home. We got back to VA last Friday and spent the weekend at my parents. They just love her!! We got to our own home on Sunday night and have been adjusting well ever since. I know most people just want to see pictures, so here are some of the best since our last post. We'll write more soon!

Laura's first plane ride...she loved it! Laura loving her carseat!

Laura with her Mema (Shawn's mom).

Laura with my grandparents and Aunt.
Laura with Nana and Grandad (my parents).

Keep the pictures coming, Stephanie! She is so cute! I should probably know this, but I'm too lazy to go back through your posts to find out; how old is little Laura? I really love the picture of her sitting up on her own! Too cute! Congratulations! Enjoy yourselves!

Welcome home. Sorry you have been sick. How fun it must have been to introduce Laura to her Mema and Nana! Sometime her Aunt Neta Ann and Uncle David will have to take a look.

Congratulations! I realized when I saw Shawn's article on BP today (1-16) that I it had been too long since I had checked in on your updates! I'm so happy for you, and I can't wait to hear more stories and see more pictures! She's a cutie! Hmmm...some impromptu advice from a veteran mom (Savannah turns 10 this year...can you believe that?)...When Laura starts walking and she falls down, let her pick herself back up--it teaches her to try again even when she fails; when it storms and she's scared, let her sleep with you--those times don't last forever; and when she starts talking and you tell her not to talk with her mouth full, be sure to be clear that you want her to finish chewing and then talk! (I learned that when Savannah spit out her food and kept talking when she was about 3.) Anyway, I pray God's blessings for you as you adjust to and enjoy parenthood. It's the best journey in the world. Love, "Auntie" Stacey
